Job description:
Our client, a leading Healthcare Technology company, seeks a Front-end developer with strong communication and problem-solving skills to use a combination of HTML, CSS, Javascript and other related technologies and frameworks, in order to build (to relevant W3C/WAI standards) user interfaces.
Main Responsibilities of thie role are to:
- Consult with clients
- Document and report application specifics
- Customise applications
- Debug web applications
- Design complex applications
- Execute bug and performance tests
- Prepared to act as deputy for manager from time to time, when line manager not available
- Complete and submit accurate time reporting sheets as required by company
- Engage with company coaching process Annual Appraisal and Continuing Professional Development (CPD) training process
- Comply with Information Governance requirements
Skills and Competences are:
Analysis, design and estimation (ability to analyse business problems and design suitable technical solutions)
Agile methodologies (SCRUM). XHTML, HTML(5), CSS/CSS3, XML, XSLT
Understand and build to Accessibility Standards (e.g. WCAG).
Build for SEO, and familiarity with SEO tools (e.g. Google Analytics)
Familiarity with design tools such as Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
MS Stack (C#, SQL Server, MVC.NET) desirable Single Page Application frameworks, such as AngularJS, desirable
Familiarity with NHS IT standards - FHIR, ITK, Coding Systems an advantage Experience of CMS systems an advantage (e.g. Umbraco, WordPress, Drupal)
Familiarity with MS Azure an advantage
Ideally educated to degree level with relevant subject (e.g. technical, computer science) Personal Skills and Attributes Strong problem solving skills
Must be proficient in verbal and written communications
Ability to grasp and assimilate to new concepts quickly and effectively
Attention to detail
Ability to problem solve, work autonomously or within team
Time management skills and commitment (working with a plan, including deadlines - possessing a sense of urgency, when needed)
